About Syllatrex

Syllatrex was incorporated on July 13, 1983 by Michaela Senk-Eustace. The business plan established Syllatrex to provide consulting services to the business community using the newly introduced personal computer and Lotus 1-2-3 software. Based on the strengths of the founder (MS, Computer Science, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and MBA,Finance,University of Hartford; manager of consulting- Chase Econometrics), Syllatrex quickly evolved into writing sophisticated custom programs in Lotus 1-2-3 and dBase. By 1985, the Syllatrex market had expanded into corporate training and Syllatrex was selected to conduct exclusive training on PC's for Uniroyal and Hartford National Bank. During 1985, Syllatrex began courseware development until the tradename of Syllatrex. Syllatrex courseware was marketed under this name until 1991. From its inception, Syllatrex used Peachtree Accounting Software for its own record-keeping system. While developing courseware for Peachtree, Syllatrex contacted Peachtree software who invited Syllatrex to join their Authorized Support Center program as charter members.

The Peachtree relationship propeled Syllatrex into the Small Business Accounting market when networks were in their infancy. By working with Lantastic, Novell, and Microsoft networks, Syllatrex began installing, supporting and training users in Multi-user accounting systems operating in DOS. In the early 1990's Peachtree acquired a new Windows-based accounting system, Peachtree Accounting for Windows. The new product gained wide market acceptance in its clever and innovative design. Syllatrex support of accounting systems and networking systems also flourished using the new windows-based technology. In 1998 Syllatrex added Peachtree 2000 - a mid range accounting system - to its portfolio of products. In 1999, MAS90 and BusinessWorks were added to strenghten the product lines of growing customers. Over the same time, Small Business Server - a diverse Microsoft NT-based product - was introduced as the network of choice for customers who now wanted shared faxes, modems, and internet access as standard features. With Y2K issues on the horizon, 1999 was spent upgrading thousands of users - hardware and software.

Since 2000, Syllatrex has focused on elevating the computer and operational skills of the customer base. New technologies are shared with our users routinely. In keeping with the tradition of providing our customers with the finest service available, Syllatrex now offers online support using internet connectivity and a new customer forum - Syllatrex Technology Forum for Small Business. Syllatrex has over 2000 customers in the US - most located in So. New England and New York. Syllatrex has been recognized annually as a "Top Five Resource Center" by Peachtree Software since 1995. Syllatrex is a chairman-level partner in the MAS market and has been one of only nine members nationally on the inaugural steering committee for Best Software Small Business Division. Syllatrex has now added certifications in other Best Software products to complement the core business customer offerings: ABRA HR Suite, Timeslips and ACT CRM. Syllatrex has also completed certifications for MAS200 client server and e-business certifications. With the evolution of smart phone technology to complement laptops and mobile workers, Syllatrex has embraced this technology and its direct interaction with Best's core business products.
