Mike* General Manager

Mike came to Syllatrex in 2010 from an Aerospace firm he worked with for 30 years, as a former Syllatrex customer. As the GM, Mike oversees all manner/aspects of the operation at Syllatrex. Mike earned his college degree at UConn, Storrs and enjoys golfing and is an avid UConn men’s and women’s basketball fan: Go Huskies!

 

Michaela* CEO & Senior Consulting Manager

Michaela, or as we all know her, Mickey founded Syllatrex in 1983 after working in the insurance and financial consulting industries. At Travelers Insurance, Mickey developed and managed investment accounting and investment analysis systems, and then at Chase Econometrics / Interactive Data, Mickey was the manager of consulting at the Hartford and then Washington DC offices. This national consulting firm, a subsidiary of Chase Bank, offered complex investment and business analysis system and large economic databases to clients, an opportunity to learn and apply diverse business experiences that help Syllatrex customers to this day. At Syllatrex, Mickey is the master of all, and in recent years, began to focus on the creative and technical side of the Syllatrex business working with customer accounts while also directing new technology research and development. Mickey went to UConn Storrs where she earned a BA degree in Mathematics, then earned her Master’s Degree in Computer Science from RPI, and subsequently completed requirements for an MBA in Finance from the University of Hartford. In her spare time, Mickey spends time with her numerous nephews and nieces and enjoys spending her time relaxing and traveling and enjoying life’s special moments with family and friends.

 

Mary* Senior QB consultant

Mary came to Syllatrex in 2015, after being a client of Syllatrex for many years. As Syllatrex senior QB consultant, Mary has a keen knowledge in QuickBooks systems, including QB Enterprise, POS, Payroll, and Merchant Services. Mary retired from her three successful businesses and came to Syllatrex with a wealth of knowledge that she brings to every day-to-day tasks. In her down time, Mary is active in breeding, raising, training, and showing her beautiful Golden Retrievers.

 

Colleen Office Manager

Colleen came to Syllatrex in 1988. Colleen is the Wizard to Syllatrex’ Oz. As Office Manager, she is the key “behind the scenes” player, handling Syllatrex internal administrative systems and specializing in Payroll, AP/AR, while supporting Sage and QuickBooks software clients. In her down time, Colleen is an excellent “Mamo” (grandma) to her beautiful grandson Sawyer and enjoys camping with her husband Tom of over 35 years.

 

Shawn IT Consultant

Shawn joined Syllatrex in 2011, with his prior IT experience and education. Shawn is primarily responsible for internal IT and coordination of installation and IT services for Syllatrex customers. Shawn completed his requirements for Microsoft Certified Professional (MSP), A+, and NET+ from Porter and Chester Institute in 2011. When he is not working, he is an avid video gamer and enjoys all things tech.

 

Federico Small Business Software Consultant

Federico earned his Bachelors degree in International Business and Accounting from Eastern Connecticut State University. He came to Syllatrex in 2015 after completing his senior internship with us. Federico assists with installation and support for accounting software and third-party add-ons. While studying at Eastern Connecticut State University, Federico worked his way up to become manager of a chain restaurant after starting at an entry level position. When not at work, Federico enjoys golfing and Italian cooking.

 

Jenessa Sales Support Specialist

Jenessa is the newest member of the Syllatrex staff and specializes in social media and sales administration support. She joined after being a stay at home mom for many years. When not working, Jenessa enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
